16th Day In Canada

This is us looking at the forks of the credit river. After we had a game of Pooh Sticks and I won! Yay! Go me!

This is a square hamburger that we had at Wendy's and I got extra salad as Daniel gave me his.

This is us outside the Pioneer Village where they didn't use any electricity.

This is us outside and old post office and right next to it they had a shop which sold Vanilla Fudge.

This is me carrying yoke which they used to carry water before. At the Pioneer village we went to an old printing shop and I brought three printed black and white photo's for a dollar.

We thought we'd post a picture of a Wendy's hamburger since apparently England doesn't have square burgers.

It was actually hot outside today.

Jasmin is all packed and ready to go. All the stuff fit in her suitcase. I hope nothing breaks open or there'll be quite a food mess throughout.

I hope to make a final posting of pictures from the airport later this evening.

Dear Jasmin,

It must be quite hard to be on the verge of leaving Canada and all these super people who have looked after you and been there for you. You yourself can be very proud of this journal that has kept us all entertained, informed and closer to each other. I hope it will bring back the happy memories of this holiday. While looking at the forks in the Credit river, did you notice the spoons? I am so please that you played pooh-sticks. Have you read Winnie-The-Pooh? I am sure you have because you have the right sort of mum. I hate what Disney has done to the characters. The original 1926 Shepherd drawings are what I remember, and Disney is changing history. Doug did right to show pictures of Canadian hamburgers. They look very unusual, very different from ours, which of course have 13 sides and are thus tridecagons.
This may be your last entry of this trip, but I do hope that you will keep it going back home. It has been wonderful to see you and all these wonderful people.
Thanks Jasmin, and to Doug, Sara, Stephanie, Daniel, Cyndie, Pa and Gran, Laura, Christina and anyone else I have forgotten.

Love you very much

Hi Jasmin,

I am really going to miss looking at this blog every evening for pictures and every morning to see the comments. It has been very entertaining. Can it continue? It didn't sound easy to download pictures from what Doug said. It was great meeting you. You are a very nice young lady, so easy to have around. Enjoy France and the rest of your break from school. Have a good flight!

Hi Jazz

When I was younger and the world was black and white there were quite a few wendy burgers - they were famous for, not only the square burgers, but also the extra things you could have in them and that they were freshly prepared to your preference - yum

I hope the blog will continue - it will be difficult while you are in France but I'm sure you will continue to have some amazing adventures back home. just like the time we ..... er ..... or that other time when the ...... oh dear oh dear.

A big big thank you to everyone who made jasmin so welcome and looked after my precious princess. It has been so lovely "meeting" Doug's family.

Jasmin - I am feeling very sad for you now that your trip is coming to an end but very very excited that I will be seeing you tomorrow. Dad is bringing me to the airport to pick you up so we wil both be there waiting for you.

Love you loads

Mum
